"The InterpreteR" Newsletter
A bimonthly publication which brings you information about current issues,
workshops, regional and national news in the field of American Sign Language
Interpretation.
At this time "The InterpreteR" is not in publication. If you are
interested in helping with publication, please contact Peggy Huber. We
will need assistance with:
- Layout
- Collection of articles
- Editing
- Printing
- Distribution
In the meantime, to keep up on news and events in Southern California
interpreting and Deaf communities, we recommend that you register with
SCRIDTalk, SCRID's Yahoo Group email. You can sign up by going to the
Membership page.
Editorial Policy
The publications staff of
“The InterpreteR” reserves the right to edit all written material for length and
content. Such changes will not be brought to the attention of the author(s) if
they are of a minor editorial nature, with no impact whatsoever on the content
or substance of any part of the text itself. Where such proposed editorial
changes do change the content or substance of the text, the author(s) will be
first contacted and given an opportunity to comment on the proposed changes. In
such instances, approval will be obtained prior to the letter or article being
published.
All editorial
submissions must be in electronic medium (email or diskette) in Microsoft
compatible programs. Items sent in writing must be by arrangement with the
publisher. This includes any comments, suggestions or feedback to the
publications staff of “The InterpreteR.”
Articles: Unsigned
articles will not be printed. Receipt of an article does not guarantee its
publication. Articles should be no more than 350 words in length.
Letters: Letters are to
be no more than 350 words in length. Unsigned letters will not be published;
although, the author’s name can be withheld by his/her request if the author’s
identity is known to the editor only and there is a valid reason, deemed by the
editorial staff, for withholding said name. Opinions stated do not reflect the
opinions of “The InterpreteR” staff or advertisers.
