Southern California Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf

SCRID is an affiliate chapter of the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID). It is the mission of the Southern California Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf to promote best practices, equity, and representation within the profession of Sign Language Interpreting; provide professional development and education for current and future practitioners; serve as a forum for ongoing assessment of and response to community needs; and, advocate to the public for the highest standards in the provision of interpreting services for users of both sign languages and spoken languages.

Certified - $35.00 (USD) Subscription period: 1 year No automatically recurring payments Individuals who currently hold any valid RID certification or equivalent and is engaged in interpreting. Includes voting privileges. Must upload copy of RID Certification JPEG (only).

Certified - 2 Years (10% Savings) - $63.00 (USD) Subscription period: 2 years No automatically recurring payments Certified members. Must provide proof of certification.

Certified - 3 Years (15% Savings) - $89.25 (USD) Subscription period: 3 years No automatically recurring payments Certified membership. Must provide proof of RID certification.

Certified 1st year discount - $17.50 (USD) Subscription period: Unlimited For certified members to reintroduce them to SCRID membership. By invitation only, not available to current members.

Certified Senior - $28.00 (USD) Subscription period: 1 year No automatically recurring payments SCRID certified members who are at least 55 years of age or older at the time of joining. This level is a 20% discount of certified membership.
Must be renewed annually. Must show proof of eligibility by uploading a JPEG of valid driver license or other government document. (Only JPEGs are accepted.)
